Cadmans Cottage, building
Cadmans Cottage is one of the oldest surviving residential buildings in Sydney.
This cottage was built in 1816 for the use of the governmental coxswains and their crews.
Named after John Cadman who lived there, Cadmans Cottage has become a significant historical landmark.
Nowadays, it serves as a tourist attraction and information kiosk by the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.
It stands as a rare example of early colonial architecture, having survived in its original location.
