Queen Victoria Building, Shopping center in Sydney
The Queen Victoria Building is a late nineteenth-century building designed by the architect George McRae.
It was constructed between 1893 and 1898 as a monument to the long reigning monarch, Queen Victoria.
The building fills an entire city block, and its design includes elements of Romanesque architecture.
Today, it's used as a shopping center with over 180 fashion boutiques, jewelry shops and homewares.
The building contains two mechanical clocks that show scenes of English royalty.
