Carrai National Park

The 11,397-hectare Carrai National Park contains eucalypt forests and subtropical rainforest on a granite plateau with steep escarpments descending to Kunderang Brook.

The New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service established this conservation area to protect the natural heritage of the Carrai plateau region.

The park maintains a network of walking paths and basic huts at Daisy Plains, allowing visitors to experience the raw wilderness of New South Wales.

Visitors should download the Emergency Plus application before arrival as mobile reception remains limited throughout the park's remote sections.

Over 125 animal species inhabit the park, including the endangered Hastings River mouse, native quolls, dingoes, and several vulnerable owl species.
