Springbrook National Park

Springbrook National Park is a nature reserve in Queensland featuring subtropical rainforest with numerous waterfalls and scenic walking paths. The landscape includes multiple lookout points offering views across valleys and surrounding terrain, with dense vegetation covering the terrain throughout.

The park received protected status in 2011 when it joined the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage list. This designation recognized the site's role in preserving ancient forest ecosystems that stretch back millions of years.

Indigenous peoples have deep roots here, and their knowledge about how to live with this land is still shared among families today. The forest itself holds cultural meaning as a place where stories and connections to ancestors continue to matter.

Multiple walking tracks start from designated parking areas, with restrooms and information boards available at main entrances. Wear sturdy footwear as paths can become slippery and some sections are steep, requiring moderate fitness.

The Natural Bridge formation features a waterfall that drops through the roof of a cave, creating an unusual geological structure. At night, the cave lights up with bioluminescent glowworms, adding an unexpected element to the experience.
