Trump National Golf Club, Golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, US
The course sits on the California coast south of Los Angeles, running along steep cliffs above the Pacific. The layout includes fairways facing the ocean, several putting areas, and a large clubhouse near the entrance.
Development started in the late nineties under a different name and was halted by a landslide. A new owner acquired the site a few years later and reopened the course after extensive earth stabilization work.
The Michael Douglas Pro-Celebrity Golf Tournament brings together entertainment and sports figures annually at this prestigious venue in April.
The facility sits roughly 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of downtown Los Angeles and is reached by winding coastal roads. Reservations are necessary in advance as access is limited.
Parts of the course were built on artificially stabilized slopes after geological issues prevented the original opening. Several holes run close to the cliff edge with direct views of the surf below.
