Pedro Meoqui is the municipal seat of Meoqui Municipality in northern Mexico, located at about 1,150 meters elevation. The town functions as the main population center for the region and sits within the landscape of central Chihuahua.
The settlement began in 1693 as a Franciscan mission called Conversion de San Pablo, founded by Fray Andrés Ramirez along the San Pedro River. The area evolved from this religious foundation into the administrative center it is today.
