Visitors can explore the Fort Bayard Museum and National Historic Landmark during guided tours every Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.
A monument stands on the old parade field commemorating the Buffalo Soldiers of Company B, 25th United States Colored Infantry Regiment.
