Parque Metropolitano La Florida, Metropolitan park in Bogota, Colombia

Parque Metropolitano La Florida is a 267-hectare park on Bogotá's northwestern edge, in Cota and Funza. It holds a 16-hectare lake with boats, wooden bridges and internal paths, plus a patinódromo (roller skating rink), motocross tracks, aeromodelling strip and courts for football, futsal, tennis, volleyball and basketball. The grounds include 100 barbecue kiosks, camping areas and a pedagogical nursery.

The park was acquired in 1974 by the Bogota Lottery parks division despite concerns about its remote location at the time. Since then it has grown into a major recreational area for the city.

The park functions as a place where visitors can learn about local plants and animals through environmental education programs offered at its pedagogical nursery. These programs help people understand the natural world around Bogota.

The park lies outside the city, at km 3 on the Engativá–Cota road and km 4 on the Medellín highway, in Cota and Funza. Its 267 hectares hold a 16-hectare lake, internal paths and wooden bridges linking to the Club de Golf La Florida. Camping zones, 100 barbecue kiosks, dining areas and restrooms are spread across the grounds.

The park is home to around 40 bird species, with many native to the region while others pass through as migrants between September and April. This makes it a place where bird watchers can encounter different species depending on the time of year.
