Coacalco de Berriozábal is a municipality in the State of Mexico, located north of Mexico City. The area consists of several residential neighborhoods, commercial zones, and public facilities forming a connected urban network.

The municipal government holds regular council sessions where residents can participate in community improvement discussions. Public facilities and services are accessible throughout the municipal territory.
The area experienced rapid change from rural land to industrial site within a few years during the 1970s. Today it ranks among the main commercial zones in the northern part of the Mexico City metropolitan region.
