Hindu Temple of The Woodlands

The Hindu Temple of The Woodlands is a stone building spanning roughly 10,000 square feet, situated on an 8-acre property along Woodlands Parkway. The facility provides spaces for religious ceremonies, meditation areas, and yoga classes for the surrounding communities.

The community acquired the property in 2005 and began construction in 2008, making it the first Hindu temple established in northern Houston. The site quickly became a religious center for followers from several surrounding towns.

The temple serves as a gathering place for people from across India, where they maintain their traditions and pass them on together. Visitors regularly see language classes and cultural events that shape the community's everyday life.

The temple is freely accessible and offers regular meditation sessions and free yoga classes open to visitors. The grounds provide adequate parking and are situated along a major road serving multiple nearby towns.

An expansion project will create a large cultural center with classrooms and a major event hall to support the growing community. This construction reflects how the temple continues to adapt to the needs of its steadily expanding population.
