Thackerville

Thackerville is a small town in Love County, Oklahoma, located where U.S. Highways 77 and 153 intersect. The community sits about 5 miles (8 km) north of the Texas border in an agricultural region with a modest population.

Zachariah Thacker founded the settlement in the mid-1800s near Wolf Hollow Creek and built a corn mill. This mill became the foundation for the community's early development and growth.
