Shincal, Ancient Inca settlement near Belén, Argentina.
El Shincal de Quimivil extends across 30 hectares of fertile land between the Quimivil and Hondo rivers at 1350 meters above sea level.
The settlement served as an administrative capital of the Inca Empire's southern region from 1471 to 1536, featuring over 100 stone structures.
The central plaza contains an ushnu platform measuring 16 meters wide, used for ceremonies, judgments, and astronomical observations by Inca authorities.
Visitors can access the archaeological site through guided tours that begin at the interpretative center, located 6.6 kilometers from the town of Londres.
Two artificial hills with stone stairways rise 25 meters on each side of the main square, with the eastern hill dedicated to solar ceremonies.
