Bob Marley birthplace in Nine Mile

The stone building stands at the top of a hill in Nine Mile village, featuring traditional Jamaican architectural elements and surrounded by mountains.

In February 1945, Bob Marley entered the world in this modest house, which later became both his childhood home and final resting place.

The mausoleum contains Ethiopian-style elements, marble structures, and two separate burial chambers for Bob Marley and his mother Cedella Booker.

Guided tours of the property include access to the birth house, mausoleum, meditation rock, and displays of personal items for an entrance fee of 19 dollars.

Mount Zion Rock next to the house served as Marley's meditation spot, where he found inspiration for his songwriting during his early years.
