White Bay Cay

White Bay Cay is a small island in the Exuma Cays located within a protected marine park, surrounded by clear turquoise waters, soft white sand, and gentle waves. The reef around it remains healthy and the island is managed carefully to keep its natural features intact.

The island is part of the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, managed by the Bahamas National Trust since 1959 and recognized internationally as a model for marine conservation. The park was established to protect the plants, animals, and natural resources of this region.

A dock is being improved to make it easier for boats to arrive and depart, while beach restoration projects are carefully managed to protect the land from erosion. Visitors should know that collecting rocks, shells, or sea creatures is not permitted to keep the environment safe.

White Bay Cay is home to the White Cay Iguana, a small lizard that lives nowhere else on Earth. Visitors come here hoping to spot one of these creatures in their natural habitat. Tyler Perry fell in love with the island and bought it as a gift to himself for his 40th birthday - a testament to how special a place it is.
