Adventure Island

Adventure Island is a water park in Tampa, Florida, combining slides, wave machines and an artificial river on tropical-themed grounds. Palm trees, grassy patches and sunny spaces around pools define the overall layout of the site.

The park opened on June 7, 1980, as part of the SeaWorld entertainment portfolio in the Tampa Bay region. Operators have since expanded the facilities and added slides and attractions over the years.

Guests wear swimwear throughout the grounds and ride slides using inner tubes or non-slip mats. Families move between attractions on paved walkways under palm trees and occasional shade structures.

The entrance sits on North McKinley Drive northwest of Tampa and is accessible via public roads. Visitors should bring sun protection and drinking water on hot days.

The park sits directly next to another theme park, allowing guests to visit both sites during an extended stay. This creates a connected entertainment area at a single location.
