Universal Epic Universe, Theme park in Orange County, US.
Universal Epic Universe is a theme park in Orlando, Florida, covering 304 hectares (750 acres) and featuring five themed areas: Celestial Park, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Ministry of Magic. Each area forms its own world with dedicated rides, restaurants, and shops, all connected through a central plaza.
Construction officially began in March 2021 after NBCUniversal announced the project in August 2019, with work paused for a period during the pandemic. The entire site was built on previously undeveloped land south of the existing Universal Orlando Resorts.
The name reflects the promise that each visitor will experience a grand journey through different worlds, with each zone dedicated to a separate franchise. The architecture and details in each zone strictly follow the visual rules of their respective stories, so walking through the areas gives the feeling of truly stepping into those worlds.
Access is provided through multi-day tickets that also include entry to the other Universal Orlando parks, with the opening scheduled for May 22, 2025. Since the site is large and each zone is designed as fully separated, an early arrival is recommended to see all areas in one day.
The radial layout with a central plaza and four isolated worlds differs from most other parks where areas blend into one another. Each transition between zones is designed to create a portal effect, so you step into a completely new environment.
