Florida State Capitol, State government building in downtown Tallahassee, US.

The Florida State Capitol consists of a 22-story tower and the historic building, featuring neoclassical design elements with grand columns and symmetrical proportions.

The original Capitol from 1845 faced demolition in the 1970s but public opposition led to its preservation and transformation into the Florida Historic Capitol Museum.

The Capitol Complex incorporates numerous memorials, including the Florida Women's Hall of Fame and dedicated spaces honoring military service members and first responders.

Free guided tours of the Capitol provide access to the 22nd-floor observatory, offering views of Tallahassee and information about Florida's legislative processes.

The building houses a collection of historical displays on its Plaza Level, including an exact representation of the State Seal and halls celebrating Florida achievements.
