Johns Creek is a municipality in Fulton County in the state of Georgia, composed mainly of residential subdivisions with single-family homes, shopping centers and office districts. The entire area spreads along several major roadways interrupted by wooded tracts and river sections.
Cherokee trading posts once stood along the river until European settlers established farms and small villages during the 19th century. The municipality officially gained status as a self-governing city with its own administration and services on December 1, 2006.
