First Church of Christ, Scientist, Church building in Victoria Park, North Vancouver, Canada.
The First Church of Christ, Scientist stands as a single-story wooden structure with a mansard roof and semi-circular entry portico supported by columns.
Constructed in 1925 by architectural firm Honeyman and Curtis, the church building represents the early religious development of North Vancouver during the 20th century.
The church exemplifies Classical Revival architecture through its symmetrical design, formal entrance, refined detailing, and rational architectural principles typical of Christian Science buildings.
Located at 189 Keith Road on the eastern end of Victoria Park, the building features multi-paned wooden-sash casement windows with cathedral glass.
The structure received heritage designation on January 1, 1995, and was later acquired by North Shore Bethel Christian Mennonite Brethren Church in 2008.
