Paine Field, International airport terminal in Snohomish County, United States.
Paine Field is a commercial airport in Everett, Washington, serving both passenger flights and as a major aircraft manufacturing site. The passenger terminal sits at the southern end of the grounds, offering access to several domestic routes along the West Coast and to Hawaii.
The airport opened in 1936 as a county airfield and was named after local aviation pioneer Topliff Paine. In the following decades the site grew into a central production location for large Boeing aircraft before scheduled passenger service began in 2019.
The Boeing Future of Flight and Factory Tour at Paine Field educates visitors about aviation technology and aerospace manufacturing processes.
The terminal hall and departure gates are compact in layout and offer shorter waiting times compared to larger regional airports. A cafe and a small shop cover basic needs while free internet connection is available throughout the terminal area.
The runway sits only a few meters away from the Boeing assembly halls, and in good visibility travelers can often spot finished widebody jets on the apron during approach. This view ranks among the most unusual airport experiences on the American West Coast.
