Built around 1500 by Hervé I de Kersaintgilly, the castle underwent major renovations in 1865 under architect Henri Parent's direction until 1887.
The castle's architectural elements combine 16th-century features, including a spiral staircase with radiating tile ceilings and 19th-century detailed woodwork.
