Untertilliach, Kath. Pfarrkirche hll. Florian, Ingenuin, und Albuin, church building in Untertilliach, Austria

Untertilliach Kath. Pfarrkirche hll. Florian, Ingenuin und Albuin is an old church building situated in a quiet area surrounded by nature. It features sturdy stone walls, a small tower topped with a bulb-shaped roof, and a simple structure that sits naturally within the mountain landscape.

The original small prayer house dates back to the early 1700s, with the first mention of a chapel recorded in 1290. The current church structure was built between 1777 and 1780, blending gothic and baroque styles, and in 1858 it became the main church for the area before being formally established as a parish church in 1891.

The church is dedicated to saints Florian, Ingenuin, and Albuin, whose names appear on a sign outside. These saints have been part of local stories for many years, and visitors light candles here to remember loved ones or mark special occasions.

The church sits in a quiet area away from busy streets and serves as a good starting point for exploring the nearby countryside. Access is typically open, but it is advisable to check in advance for larger groups or special requests, as the building remains in active use for local ceremonies.

The tower was designed by architect Josef Huber and features a characteristic bulb-shaped roof typical of the region. The stained glass windows from the early 1900s depict Saint Florian and symbols of the four evangelists, bringing distinctive color to the interior.
