Pfarrkirche Pellendorf, Religious monument in Pellendorf, Austria.
Pfarrkirche Pellendorf is a Baroque church building with a distinctive bell tower on the western gable front of the main entrance. The tower has corner pilasters, clock gables, and a pyramid-shaped spire above a domed roof, while the interior holds an altar painting created by Martin Johann Schmidt.
The church building was completed in 1780 and followed the establishment of the parish in 1760 under the Archdiocese of Vienna. A significant artwork, the altar painting, was created in 1783 by a leading artist of that period.
The church bears the name of an early saint and displays religious artworks from different periods inside. Visitors can notice the carved stone relief triptych on the exterior wall, which shows historical scenes and gives a visual sense of the site's longer past.
This site is located at the northern edge of Pellendorf village in Mistelbach District and is walkable from the village center. The church is typically open during community hours and regular services are held throughout the week.
On the exterior wall stands a stone relief from the 16th century showing three religious scenes within architectural frames. This older artwork was integrated into the Baroque church and connects different periods of religious construction.
