Untere Seebachalm

Untere Seebachalm is a mountain pasture settlement with stone buildings and a small lake situated near the structures. The location sits along marked hiking trails that connect to neighboring pastures and higher alpine passes.

The neighboring Jagdhausalm, formerly called Jochhausalm, contains evidence of alpine settlements from the 13th century. This region has long served as home to mountain herding communities.

The pasture displays traditional alpine farming through its stone structures, which reflect regional building methods passed down over generations. Seasonal herding practices continue to shape how the area looks and functions throughout the year.

The trail to the pasture begins at the Alpengasthof Oberhaus parking area and climbs gradually with clear signs along the way. The route remains easy to follow from start to finish, even for those new to hiking in the area.

Along the trail are restored dry stone walls that show how herders shaped these mountain landscapes over centuries. These walls continue to protect the slopes today and speak to ancient craftsmanship traditions.
