Town hall in Čačersk

Count Zakhar Chernyshyov commissioned the construction of this municipal building in 1774 when the region was incorporated into the Russian Empire. The structure was built during a period of major political changes in the area.

The building reflects a blend of Russian pseudo-gothic and neoclassical styles that developed during the region's period under Russian rule. Visitors can observe these stylistic choices in the stonework details and the overall shape of the structure.
