Drake House, Registered heritage structure in Arnold's Cove, Canada.
The Drake House stands as a two-story wooden building with narrow clapboard siding, wide cornerboards, and decorative moldings framing traditional doors and windows.
Built in the 1890s by George Drake and his brother John in Haystack, the house was transported by barge to Arnold's Cove during the 1970s resettlement period.
The structure represents the mass relocation of Newfoundland communities between 1954 and 1975, when 27,500 people moved from 260 remote fishing settlements.
Visitors can explore the heritage building through guided tours from June to September, with access to original furniture and artifacts from the resettlement era.
Frank Drake, the last resident of Haystack, stayed alone in this house for twelve years after his community relocated, continuing to fish there for two decades.
