Northern Bay Sands

Northern Bay Sands is a coastal park stretching along the Atlantic shoreline with sandy beaches, two freshwater swimming pools, and several camping areas for summer visitors. The grounds spread across a generous area with separate zones for different activities.

The area served as a major processing site for cod fishing during the 1800s and held a central role in the local fishing industry. This maritime past has deeply shaped the region's identity.

This place serves as a gathering point where local musicians perform during summer events, bringing residents together through shared outdoor experiences. These gatherings shape the rhythm of community life in the area.

The grounds offer 50 campsites with a laundromat, food stands, and bars for relaxing after a beach day. It helps to pack layers for changeable weather since the location sits on exposed coastal terrain.

Two freshwater swimming pools sit in the northern section of the beach, offering an alternative to the cold ocean water. Many visitors use these pools as a break from Atlantic currents.
