The Arboretum du Vallon de l'Aubonne spreads across 200 hectares of forests and meadows, containing over 3,000 species of trees and shrubs from temperate regions.
Founded in 1968, this arboretum has developed into a major conservation site for forest species and genetic heritage of woody plants in Switzerland.
The Wood Museum within the arboretum displays traditional forestry tools and wooden artifacts through annual thematic exhibitions about historical craftsmanship.
The entrance fee is 10 Swiss francs for adults, while children under 18 and members can access the arboretum free of charge.
Four orchards in the arboretum preserve endangered heritage fruit tree varieties, protecting genetic diversity from extinction.
