Schwimm- und Sonnenbad

The Schwimm- und Sonnenbad features multiple swimming pools and sunbathing areas set against the backdrop of the Swiss landscape near Lake Constance.

The swimming facility, constructed under the direction of architect Beda Hefti, opened its doors to the public in July 1933 after completion in 1932.

Switzerland recognizes this swimming complex as a Class A cultural property, marking its status among the most important heritage sites in the nation.

The facility maintains year-round operations with free water access in the back section during November and provides extensive parking spaces next to local schools.

The architectural design combines functional sports elements with traditional Swiss building techniques, establishing a model for public swimming facilities of its era.
