Gwanggaeto Stele, Stele in South Korea
The Gwanggaeto Stele is a monument erected in 414 by King Jangsu in honor of his deceased father, King Gwanggaeto the Great.
The stele, standing at 6.39 meters, is the largest engraved stele from ancient Northeast Asia.
It provides valuable insight into the history, culture, and beliefs of the Goguryeo kingdom.
The stele is located in Ji'an, Jilin, China, near the North Korean border.
The stele's inscription is one of the longest texts written in Classical Chinese.
