Zhangye National Geopark is known for its colorful rock formations.
The park has been a UNESCO Global Geopark since 2009.
It is often referred to as 'China's Rainbow Mountains'.
The best time to visit the park is from June to September.
The colors of the rocks are the result of deposits of sandstone and other minerals over 24 million years.
