Salmon Arm

Salmon Arm stretches along the shores of Shuswap Lake, surrounded by Mount Ida to the south and Fly Hills to the west at 415 meters elevation.

The settlement, which began as a municipal district in 1905, transformed into a city in 2005 after experiencing various administrative changes throughout the twentieth century.

The Roots and Blues festival and Word on the Lake Writers' Festival bring together musicians and literary artists, enriching the local cultural calendar throughout the year.

The Trans-Canada Highway connects the city to Vancouver and Calgary, while the SASCU Recreation Centre provides indoor swimming facilities for residents and visitors.

Shuswap Lake offers 400 kilometers of shoreline with 20 provincial parks, creating numerous opportunities for water activities and outdoor recreation throughout the seasons.
