Douglas Provincial Park

Douglas Provincial Park extends across 6,300 hectares along Lake Diefenbaker, featuring 20 kilometers of natural sandy beaches and diverse landscapes.

The park, established in 1973, bears the name of Tommy Douglas, Saskatchewan's premier who introduced the first public health care system in North America.

The park contains a section of the Trans Canada Trail, connecting visitors to a national network of recreational paths through Saskatchewan's natural environment.

Visitors can access camping facilities for tents and RVs, along with designated areas for fishing, boating, and hiking through marked trails.

A notable sand dune rises 30 meters above ground in the northeast section, stretching over a kilometer and supporting specific plant and animal species.
