Buena Vista

Buena Vista is a village situated along the southern shore of Last Mountain Lake, where houses and residential areas line the waterfront. The settlement spreads out across the lakeshore, with private dwellings organized throughout the area.

The village received official recognition as a municipality on November 18, 1983, a key moment in the development of this Saskatchewan community. This formal establishment marked the beginning of a new phase in how the settlement was organized and expanded.

The village holds regular community gatherings throughout the year, bringing residents together for shared celebrations like the Christmas sing-along events. These occasions shape how people connect and spend time together in daily life.

The village is located roughly 40 kilometers northwest of Regina and reached via Highway 54. Basic municipal services are handled through the Village Council, which manages community matters and local affairs.

The community grew noticeably between 2016 and 2021, with new residents settling into existing homes and structures. This growth shows that the lakeside village continues to draw people seeking a quieter way of life on the water.
