Canada Saskatchewan Production Studios, Production studio in Regina, Canada
Canada Saskatchewan Production Studios is a production facility in Regina located at College Avenue and Broad Street. The complex features four sound stages along with carpentry workshops, makeup rooms, and wardrobe departments for film and television work.
The building was originally constructed in 1913 as Saskatchewan Normal School, a teacher training facility. During World War II it served as a military training center before eventually being repurposed as a production facility.
The studios serve Saskatchewan's film and television industry by hosting both local and international projects. Visitors can observe how the spaces function as working production environments year-round.
The facility includes specialized areas equipped for different types of production work and technical requirements. Keep in mind this is an active production center, so access and availability may vary depending on ongoing projects.
The interior was completely rebuilt in 2002 to meet modern production standards while preserving the outer shell of the original school building. This reconstruction allowed a historic structure to become a functioning contemporary production center.
