Isle of Man Airport, Civil airport in Ronaldsway, Isle of Man
Isle of Man Airport is a civil airport in Ronaldsway, located about eleven kilometers southwest of Douglas. The terminal has five gates, several dining areas and duty-free shops.
The airfield opened in 1928 and served as RAF Ronaldsway during the Second World War. Civilian flights continued throughout the war years.
The terminal displays photographs and objects that document the evolution of flight on the island from the early twentieth century until today. Visitors can trace how air traffic developed over the decades.
The facility opens daily from 05:30 to 21:30 and offers regular connections to larger cities in the United Kingdom and Ireland. All areas are accessible on ground level, and terminal pathways are short.
More than half a million passengers used the facility in 2022 for travel to and from the island in the Irish Sea. The numbers show how important this location has become for connecting the territory to the outside world.
