South Barrule, Mountain summit in Malew, Isle of Man.
The South Barrule rises 483 meters above sea level, featuring a narrow path through peaty earth and short heather coverage to reach its peak.
Archaeological evidence reveals an ancient fort at the summit, which records indicate served as the stronghold during Richard de Mandeville's invasion in 1316.
The mountain holds connections to Manannan, where locals placed grass bundles at the summit during Midsummer's Day celebrations until the early nineteenth century.
Visitors can access South Barrule from the A27 road intersection with A36 Sloc Road, with limited parking available on a rough track.
From the summit, observers can simultaneously view the coastlines of four nations: Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales on clear weather days.
