Malbun, Ski resort in Triesenberg, Liechtenstein
Malbun is a ski resort in Triesenberg situated between 1600 and 2000 meters (5249 and 6562 feet) elevation with 23 kilometers of slopes for all skill levels. The site has three modern chairlifts, including one with heated seats, plus a drag lift connecting different sections of terrain.
The location transformed from a summer settlement into a winter sports destination starting in the 1960s when the first chairlift to Sareis ridge was constructed. These early developments established what eventually became a modern alpine resort.
The Swiss Tourism Board recognized Malbun with a Family Destination certification for its dedication to creating environments suitable for children and parents.
Access is best during winter months from December through April when conditions are most favorable for skiing. Visitors should prepare for varying elevations and weather conditions that change significantly from lower to higher altitudes.
The resort features a dedicated learning area for children where young skiers build their skills under professional guidance. This section was specially designed to introduce beginning skiers in a structured and safe manner.
