Bludenz

Bludenz is a town in Vorarlberg, Austria, located where five valleys meet, with the Bregenz Forest Mountains to the north and the Rätikon and Silvretta ranges to the south. Its position provides direct access to hiking and winter sports areas that branch out in all directions.

The town received its city rights in 1274 under the Werdenberg dynasty and later came under Habsburg control in 1394, which brought significant administrative changes. This shift in power shaped the town's development and its role in the region for centuries to come.

The Alpinale Short Film Festival showcases around 40 international short films each August, while the Bludenzer music festival presents numerous world premieres of contemporary works during autumn and winter.
