Kitzeck im Sausal

Kitzeck im Sausal is a wine-growing municipality in Styria situated at about 564 meters (1,850 feet) elevation, making it Austria's highest wine region. The village features small houses with red-tile roofs set among gentle rolling hills covered with vineyards, connected by narrow streets.

The region has cultivated wine for many centuries, benefiting from a mild climate and fertile soil that sustained the vineyards through time. A wine museum in the village preserves this heritage by displaying traditional winemaking tools and techniques passed down through generations.
