The ARGEkultur Salzburg operates from a modern building on Ulrike-Gschwandtner-Straße 5, featuring multiple event spaces and a cultural gathering area.
Founded in 1981 by 50 different initiatives, the center moved to its current location in 2005 and developed into the largest independent cultural facility in western Austria.
The center presents approximately 350 annual events, including theatrical performances, music concerts, readings, and seminars that attract 40,000 visitors each year.
The venue provides barrier-free access to its main hall at ground level, while the studio space connects via a ramp, with public transportation available at Justitzgebäude stop.
ARGEkultur maintains partnerships with over 20 regular user groups and includes the ARGEBeisl cult bar, where students and artists gather throughout the year.
