Blaser

Blaser is a mountain in the Stubaier Alps that rises to 2,241 meters and features well-marked hiking trails throughout the area. The landscape consists of alpine meadows and offers views across the surrounding peaks and valleys of Tyrol.

The paths crossing this mountain served as important trade routes between villages since medieval times. They connected communities across the Tyrolean highlands and shaped settlement patterns in the region.

Local farmers maintain traditional mowing practices on alpine meadows without using fertilizers, preserving the natural biodiversity of the mountain environment.

The best time to hike is from late summer through early autumn when the trails are dry and vegetation is still green. Visitors should expect changeable weather and dress in layers, as conditions at altitude can shift quickly.

The mountain hosts numerous alpine flowering plants, including about 20 orchid species that color the meadows during summer months. This floral diversity results from the specific climate and nutrient-poor soils of the alpine grasslands.
