Botanischer Garten

The Botanical Garden is a facility with outdoor grounds and greenhouses built on a hill in Linz. Within it grow thousands of different plant species, including orchids and cacti, displayed both in the glass structures and open areas.

The collection was founded in 1853 and was first located near a school building. After World War Two, the current facility was built at its hillside location.

The garden displays curated plant collections that visitors encounter while walking through its grounds. Regular events and programs here connect people's interest in nature with learning and art.
