Wiener Stadthalle is a multi-purpose indoor arena and convention centre in Vienna's 15th district, Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, designed by Roland Rainer and built from 1953 to 1958. Its six interconnecting halls range from the gymnasiums A and B to Hall D, Austria's largest indoor arena at 98 by 110 metres with a ridge height of 26.6 metres. Hall D's sweeping white upper facade angles outward above a long gridded glass curtain wall, with a small sign reading "süd" at its left corner; Hall F, added in 2006, sits behind a grassy slope, its glass band above angled light-coloured supports and a lower annex marked "KASSEN" and "KASSA".

Roland Rainer designed the original halls, built between 1953 and 1958; Halls A and B opened in 1957, Halls C and D in 1958. The complex was expanded in 1974 with the Stadthallenbad and three public pools, in 1994 with Hall E, and in 2006 with Hall F. A photovoltaic system went onto Hall D's roof in December 2022, extended to Hall F by September 2024.

The name reflects its role as Vienna's gathering place for major events, and visitors experience it as a hub where concerts, ice shows, and sports competitions bring together diverse audiences. The venue functions as part of the city's cultural calendar, hosting performances that draw both local and international crowds.

The complex sits in the 15th district at Vogelweidplatz, with a 750-space garage under the Märzpark on Hütteldorfer Straße and 704 more spaces in the Stadthallengarage during Hall D events. A short-stay parking zone applies around the Stadthalle until 22:00. Halls A to F are directly linked for visitors, and the KASSEN/KASSA annex by the entrance handles ticketing.

The complex includes the Stadthallenbad, built in 1974 with three public swimming pools, so the site holds both Austria's largest indoor arena and a municipal bath. For the 2004 European Short Course Swimming Championships, a 1,025 m³ pool was built inside the hall itself.
