Bundesrealgymnasium Innsbruck

The Bundesrealgymnasium Innsbruck is located in a protected heritage building at Adolf-Pichler-Platz and educates around 870 students across 36 classes. The school building was expanded in 2014 with six new classrooms and facilities for after-school activities.

Founded in 1853 as a mathematics and science institution, the school moved several times before settling in 1890 at its current building, a former hospital. During both World Wars, the building served as a military hospital but was converted back to educational use immediately after 1945.

The school is known for its strong programs in natural sciences and music, where students regularly participate in national competitions and perform theatrical productions. These focuses shape daily life here and are visible in student activities throughout the year.
