The Franziskanerkloster spans along the main street with a curved front facade displaying baroque architectural elements from multiple centuries.
Johannes Capistran established the monastery in 1454, which underwent reconstruction after destruction during the Turkish wars of 1529 and 1683.
The monastery contains corridors with cross-ribbed vaults and rooms featuring baroque stucco mirrors, some dating back to the 16th century.
Religious services occur daily with masses at 6:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and at 8:30 AM on Tuesday and Thursday.
In 2014, the monastery transformed into La Verna center, focusing on young adult ministry while remaining open to all age groups.
