The stone fortress sits atop a 60-meter limestone rock, offering views across the Enns Valley and the surrounding Upper Austrian countryside.
Built in the 12th century by the Styrian Ottokar family, the castle became the residence of the Lords of Losenstein from 1252 until 1692.
The castle ruins maintain Gothic window frames, arrow slits, and gate arches, displaying architectural elements from different medieval construction periods.
