Burg Oberkapfenberg is a medieval castle built on a hill above the town of Kapfenberg in Styria, Austria. It has thick stone walls, several towers, a courtyard, and a chapel inside the complex.

A castle named Chaffenberch was first mentioned in 1173; its upper-house remains lie below the Loreto Chapel. The present complex was built in the late 13th century by the Counts of Stubenberg as a residence and administrative seat, and around 1550 it was rebuilt as a Renaissance fortress. After the Stubenbergs moved to Schloss Wieden an der Mürz in 1739, the castle stood empty and decayed into a ruin.

The castle hosts a falconry with birds-of-prey demonstrations, and the annual Ritterfest in June, one of Austria's largest medieval festivals, features knight displays, music, theatre, craft markets and falconry shows. The festival fills the grounds each year.

Reaching the castle requires a walk uphill, so comfortable shoes are a good idea before you start. Guided tours are available, but you can also explore the site on your own.

The weapons and torture-instrument exhibition ran only from 2003 to 2008; since April 2009 the castle has shown "Grenzgänge – Eine Zeitreise mit Kreuzrittern und Alchemisten". A landslide in autumn 2011 exposed finds from "Stubenbergs Küche", displayed in a 2012 special exhibition with pots, bone remains and children's toys.
