The Karikaturmuseum Krems is Austria's only museum of satirical art, set on the Kunstmeile Krems in Krems-Stein beside the Kunsthalle Krems and the Landesgalerie Niederösterreich. Its building, designed by architect and caricaturist Gustav Peichl, has a continuous glass front at ground level. It opened on 29 September 2001 after about a year of construction.

The museum was established in the early 2000s and has since become an important venue for satirical art in Austria. It gained recognition for its efforts to preserve this particular art form and make it accessible to the public.

The museum displays works that address social topics through humor and exaggeration, making visitors laugh and think at the same time. The exhibitions include political cartoons and modern digital art that show how artists portray everyday situations and human weaknesses in witty ways.

The museum is located in Krems and can be reached easily by public transport, as the town has a train station and regular bus connections. Visitors should know that the interior contains multiple staircases, so good mobility or physical fitness is helpful for moving through the space comfortably.

The museum's collection holds the largest set of cartoons by Manfred Deix and works by Gustav Peichl, who also designed the building. In 2004 a major part of Erich Sokol's estate was acquired, followed by the Fotter collection in 2007. The SOKOL prize for digital caricature was awarded for the first time in 2018.
