Venediger Au, Urban park in Leopoldstadt district, Vienna, Austria

Venediger Au is an urban park in Vienna's Leopoldstadt district located near Praterstern station, offering multiple recreational spaces. The site features sports courts, play areas, and facilities designed for visitors of all ages.

The area was first documented in 1377 and later developed into an entertainment zone with circus activities. After the Second World War, the land was converted into a public park and made accessible to the community.

The name Venediger Au first appears in a 1377 document, though it then referred to the area of today's Praterstraße; from 1569 woodworkers and gamekeepers settled there, and the settlement was soon renamed Jägerzeile, after which the name was used for the area to the northeast. The nearby Venedig in Wien amusement park lay south on the Kaiserwiese despite the similar name. Today the green space holds a children's playground and an after-school care centre.

The park is easy to reach and features clearly marked areas for different activities. Visitors can walk between facilities and find seating throughout for resting between activities.

In 1890 a narrow-gauge park railway called the "Schnackerlbahn" ran from the Venediger Au to the south portal of the Vienna trade fair grounds with the Rotunda; it was the predecessor of today's Liliputbahn. The name similarity to Venice is misleading: the "Venedig in Wien" attraction stood south of the area, on the Kaiserwiese.
